I was born and raised in the great state of Texas! I am a creative and a story-teller and the owner of Twenty-Three Photography. I am based in Alvin, Texas (serving the SE Houston area), specializing in portrait and lifestyle sessions for couples and families, along with children's portraits in my home studio. What to Expect!
I primarily shoot family sessions and all the variations that come along with them (maternity, newborn, milestones). As a mom, I know how challenging it can be to find the photographer that fits your style, coordinate outfits and then pray everyone cooperates. If you are drawn to images with authentic and genuine connection, you are in the right place! Along with the obvious of being here to capture images of your family, it is also important to me to create an experience that makes this entire process fun and as stress-free as possible!
Communication is key!
I am big on communication and making sure no detail is overlooked. First and foremost, I include questionnaires with all of my bookings so I can get to know you and your family better before we even meet because this is all about YOU and capturing your family as they are at this time in life. You will receive multiple emails and/or texts throughout the entire process with any necessary reminders and important updates. I want to ensure there are no surprises, no questions unanswered and that we are on the same page every step of the way.
Wardrobe is important!
Not sure what to wear? Wardrobe really sets the tone for great images! I provide styling to all of my clients. It starts with a Style Guide and once we have the primary base piece of the wardrobe set, I will create a personalized style board to help bring the other items all together for everyone in the session.
I have started building a client closet with gorgeous, versatile-size dresses for women and select pieces for girls up to size 7. The dresses you see on my daughter and me in both of these family sessions are all in my client closet! We will discuss everything wardrobe once your booking is established.
Don't Stress. . .Enjoy the Moment!
I will often have clients who are worried about how to pose or don't feel like they know what to do in front of a camera, especially if this is their first professional photo session. If this is you, too, put those worries to rest. I will direct and guide you every step of the way.
I also include a Session Prep Guide for families. I cover the little tips and tricks to give you all the tools to best prepare yourself and your family for your session. There are so many small details that add up to make our time together a more seamless experience.
Less than enthusiastic husband, uninterested teens or uncooperative toddlers? Rest assured, I have plenty of experience in finding ways to engage each member of your family while capturing authentic emotions and connections. The most important thing for you to remember is to simply enjoy your family and let me do the rest.
